About Supertab
The web needs a third monetization model - alongside ads and subscriptions.
AI is becoming the fastest-growing consumer on the web. It reads, summarizes, reasons, and acts - at machine speed. But the internet’s business model was built for humans: subscriptions, ads, and one-time payments.
When the dominant consumer doesn’t pay, the economy breaks.
Supertab exists to fix that - by making access easy, flexible, and built for settlement again, for humans and for machines.
We’re building the economic layer for the new internet: a simple way to unlock value first, and pay later - like opening a tab at a café.
- Small purchases aggregate and compound.
- Rights can be cleared. (Or Rights clear via the Really Simple Licensing standard)
- Usage can be metered. (Usage is metered)
- And creators can finally get paid in a world where consumption is increasingly automated.
What we believe
The next chapter of AI shouldn’t just be about smarter models. It should be about sustainable markets - where intelligence can scale without quietly draining the people and institutions that produce knowledge, journalism, culture, and utility.
Access should be on the user’s terms. Subscribe if you want. Or pay per use when you only need a little. Choice wins.
Value should be established before payment is demanded. The best products earn trust first.
Micropayments only work when they aggregate. One tiny payment is friction. A tab is effortless.
Machines should be first-class buyers. If an agent can consume, it should be able to transact - rights-cleared, priced, and settled.
What we’re building
Supertab is the infrastructure that turns usage into revenue - across human experiences and machine experiences.
For humans
“Put it on my tab” access (time passes, sessions, bundles, subscriptions) designed for the majority who won’t commit upfront.
For publishers & platforms
aggregation + deferred settlement that makes small purchases economically viable.
For AI & agents
metered licensing and settlement so models can buy rights-cleared inputs per use - without bespoke negotiations.
Why now
- The web is shifting from traffic to answers.
- From browsing to asking.
- From pages to agents.
- From distribution to retrieval.
That shift is inevitable. Whether it becomes extractive or sustainable is still a choice. We’re here to make sure the new demand layer—machines—can participate in a real market instead of living off the old one.
How we build
We obsess over one thing: lowering friction without lowering trust.
That means:
simple UX that feels like a “tab,” not a checkout flow
pricing primitives that work at the level of usage (minutes, sessions, tokens, retrievals)
infrastructure that can live inside existing infrastructure (not yet another walled garden)
a long-term IP and licensing strategy, including a growing patent portfolio
