Who we're looking for
We’re hiring a product designer who builds for real users, works fast, and thinks in systems. You’ll design end-to-end experiences and help evolve our design system to support consistent, high-quality execution as we scale.
This role is for someone who thrives wearing multiple hats — from user research to polished UI — and brings a systems mindset to refining and extending patterns.
Your tasks
- Design user experiences from start to finish — research, ideation, prototyping, and final UI.
- Apply and evolve our design system: use components, improve patterns, and drive visual consistency.
- Work closely with product and engineering to deliver designs that are both thoughtful and buildable.
- Run lightweight user research and usability tests to inform your work.
- Champion accessibility and design quality across the product.
- Know when to move fast — and when to go deep.
About you
- 2–4 years of product design experience, ideally at a startup.
- Strong visual, interaction, and prototyping skills (Figma preferred).
- Experience working with and contributing to a design system.
- Ability to turn user insights into clear, actionable designs.
- Strong communicator — able to explain design choices to designers and non-designers alike.
- A portfolio that shows both product work and design system contributions.
Nice to have:
- Experience in motion design or micro-interactions.

How we work
Supertab is a team of ~30 people spread over 13+ countries in time zones from UTC-8 to UTC+2. We value your work more than your presence at a desk by 9am. Most of us work Monday to Friday, 7ish to 4ish UTC together in Slack. Working hours are flexible but we expect you to overlap for at least 4 hours between 9am and 4pm UTC. We aim for asynchronicity, but still need some "synchronicity" to work well.
We’ve been a fully distributed organization since our founding, and we’re pretty proud of the supportive remote culture we’ve created. We use Slack as our office, Jira for transparency and organizing work, and video calls for real-time collaboration (and just to hang out face to face).

Pay
€60k - €68k (in line with UK, Germany market) / year, negotiable based on experience and skill level.
